“I’m not proud of this, but I hadn’t been to the dentist in 14 YEARS. The longer I waited the more nervous I got about how bad it would be when I finally did go, so I kept putting it off. Well, I finally got my courage up and went to Red Bud Dental and I am so very happy that I did.”

Bonding & White Filling (Tooth Colored Filling)

Minor issues like cavities or chips can be repaired with tooth-colored fillings. A tooth-colored composite resin is used to make the fillings to mimic the color and texture of natural enamel.

When composite resins are used to repair your teeth, no one will notice that you have fillings or a chipped front tooth. Using the resin that matches the rest of their smile, Red Bud Dental will polish the filling until it blends in perfectly with the restored tooth. When it comes to fillings, we only use tooth-colored composite at Red Bud Dental.

Video 01:00 These days, there’s no reason to settle for a smile that’s less than ideal. Bonding is a dental technique that can improve the appearance of teeth by repairing chips, cracks, stains or gaps.

What is composite resin bonding?

In the process of composite resin bonding, a tooth-colored filling material is utilized. It can be used to fix minor flaws in your smile, such as chips in the front teeth or small gaps between them, as well as to restore teeth that have decayed. Red Bud Dental will help you find the shade that most closely matches your teeth. Composite resin bonding is nearly undetectable after polishing. The Red Bud Dental team are masters at creating fillings that are virtually undetectable, so you know you’re getting the best possible results.

How can composite resin bonding enhance your smile?

Composite bonding can benefit many patients by fixing:

Cavities
Chipped teeth
Small gaps between teeth

It is possible for these restorations to last for many years with proper maintenance. Since their inception, composite resins have been a popular choice because of their long lifespan and attractive aesthetics. Preventing anterior cosmetic bonding from being damaged by clenching and grinding is critical to its long-term durability. Using a night guard, and not using your restored teeth to open packages will keep them from chipping or breaking.

How do I care for tooth-colored fillings?

You don’t have to worry about doing something extra for composite fillings. Ensuring good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing twice a day is enough. We also recommend that patients come in for professional cleanings at least once every six months. We at Red Bud Dental will always be here to watch out for your oral health, so be sure to come in for regular check-ups so that we can thoroughly inspect and clean your teeth.

Veneers

If you’re looking to improve your smile in a big way, dental veneers are the best option. A wide range of dental imperfections such as discoloration, tooth wear, gaps between teeth, and size discrepancies can be corrected with this cosmetic treatment.

Video 01:00 | If your teeth are chipped, cracked or stained you may want to consider veneers.

What is a porcelain veneer?

The visible front part of a tooth is covered with a thin shell called a veneer in order to improve its appearance. It gives patients the confidence to smile in public, laugh, and tell jokes without fear of being judged.

What can porcelain veneers correct?

Porcelain veneers can fix numerous aesthetic issues. Our dentist spends time designing your new smile so that the veneers’ color and shape match the rest of your teeth’s. When veneers are put in place, your teeth will appear to be the best possible version of themselves.

Porcelain veneers can be a great solution to common issues like:

Permanent discoloration
Unevenly worn teeth
Chipped teeth
Visible fracture lines on front teeth
Small gaps between front teeth
Slightly crooked teeth
Teeth that are too small or short

Veneers vs. crowns

A veneer only covers the front of the tooth, whereas a crown covers the entire tooth from the front to the back. A veneer’s tooth preparation is less invasive because it preserves more of the patient’s natural enamel.

The benefits of choosing porcelain veneers

Consider veneers if you’ve ever felt self-conscious about your smile and are now lacking in self-confidence. You can get a new smile in as few as two visits and be proud of it.

When taken care of properly, these restorations can last for many years. Because they are less susceptible to staining than natural teeth, they will always look their best.

To achieve the best possible cosmetic results, our dentist may recommend the use of crowns. Veneers can’t always be used when teeth aren’t strong enough to hold them. For the most part, porcelain veneers are a good option for patients who want to achieve a more cosmetically appealing appearance.

What to Expect

For some patients, getting porcelain veneers is a scary prospect because they fear they’ll permanently damage their teeth. Veneers do not harm teeth, but they do alter their shape permanently. Because of this, patients should make sure they are ready for this procedure.

Steps to getting porcelain veneers:

Consultation visit: Our dentist will talk to you about the treatment expectations.
Teeth preparation: in the next visit, the dentist will numb the area and file down a thin layer of enamel from the front and sides of the teeth.
Impressions: the dentist will take impressions of the prepared teeth and send them to the dental lab, where the veneers will be manufactured according to instructions. They will place temporary veneers in the meantime.
Bonding of permanent veneers: after one or two weeks, the patient will come back to the office to have the permanent veneers bonded.

Concerns about the veneers’ longevity are common among patients. But the truth is, how well the restorations are taken care determines their longevity. Plastered veneers that aren’t cared for properly will only last a couple of years. A patient’s veneers can last for decades if they maintain good oral hygiene, visit the dentist regularly, avoid using their veneers to open packages, and wear a night guard.

In-office and take-home professional whitening

Tooth whitening is among the most popular cosmetic procedures. For in-office treatments, we offer Zoom whitening, custom bleach trays, and prefabricated disposable trays at Red Bud Dental.

While you can whiten your teeth using any of these methods, we recommend using the in-office whitening system followed by at-home options for the most dramatic results in the least amount of time.

Make an appointment with our dentist to inquire about the use of whitening strips. Our dentist will explain how safe and comfortable they are, without having you sit in the chair for hours.

Should I whiten my teeth?

We always encourage our patients to address any questions or concerns they may have during their appointments. It is our goal at Red Bud Dental to help you choose the best whitening procedure for your needs. We’ll take the time to explain the benefits and drawbacks of each treatment. We will work with you to determine the best way to achieve the desired aesthetic results.

Video 01:00 | Everyone desires a bright, white smile, but sometimes brushing twice daily isn’t enough. In-office tooth whitening is a great way to give your smile that extra sparkle. Talk to your dentist to find out if in-office tooth whitening is a good option for you.

Should I get Invisalign at Red Bud Dental?

We love all of our neighboring Orthodontists and have nothing but good things to say about them. However, there are a couple of amazing reasons why you should have your family’s orthodontic needs taken care of at Red Bud Dental.

Straighten crooked teeth with invisible braces.

You are being seen by a Board Certified Orthodontist, who are dentists that specialize and only see patients for braces
Everything in-house. Convenient scheduling, insurance billing, payment plans all under one roof.
Complimentary exams each visit. We all know its easy to get cavities when you have braces on. Our general dentists are always around to make sure things don’t get out of hand.
Proper dental cleanings on same visits. The worst of getting your teeth clean while you have braces on is not have the wire taken off ahead of time. So unless you first go to the orthodontist to have the wire removed, then go to the general dentist to have your teeth cleaned, only to have to go back to the orthodontist to have your wire put back on. It would be very hard to truly have a proper cleaning during the time you have your braces on.

How much do braces & Invisalign cost?

Our standard comprehensive braces fee is $4,400. This is for the standard metal brackets with routine wire changes for up to two years. This is pretty much 90% of our cases. There will be more complicated cases that may involve additional appliances such as a palatal expander, head gear or minor surgeries which would incur additional costs. We will go over all the details with you ahead of time so there won’t be any surprises.

Our Invisalign pricing is also $4,400 for the typical comprehensive case. This includes all of the models, impression, scan and exams. Similar to traditional braces, there may be additional charges if the case is more complex requiring additional procedures. The final retainer is an additional cost at the end of treatment.

Video 01:00 | Thanks to today’s technology, people of all ages—including adults—can have a great smile without having to wear metal braces. See if invisible braces might be a good option for you.

When should I get braces?

The best time to get braces varies from patient to patient. If our orthodontist identifies problems which could become more serious if left untreated, early treatment may be indicated. Early treatment usually begins with dental appliances while your child still has baby teeth. These appliances will help guide the development of the bone to a more ideal position so that your child won’t have to go through major surgery or malocclusion. However, in the majority of cases we will see children around the age of 12 when all the baby teeth have fallen out.

What is Orthodontics or Braces

Nearly 50% of the population, according to the American Association of Orthodontics, suffer from teeth not aligning and severe enough to benefit from orthodontic or braces treatment. Treatment with braces or clear aligners can take several months to a few years to safely and slowly move the teeth and jaws into an ideal position. If your misalignment is very severe enough, jaw surgery may be recommended. This type of treatment is typically started during adolescence because bones can more easily be manipulated.

At Red Bud Dental, we have specialized dentists called Orthodontists who will give you or your kids a thorough examination and report on what types of orthodontic treatment is best for your case. In some instances, you simply need traditional braces, other more severe cases may require headgear or palatal expansion. Rest assured we will be able to get you that perfect Instagram smile.

Should I do braces or Invisalign

Traditional Metal Braces
Patient is 100% compliant, so don’t have to worry about delayed treatment times due to not wearing your aligners.
Braces move the entire tooth including the root which is more stable over time.
Braces has been around for 100 years and is the gold standard for teeth alignment.
Invisalign Clear Retainers
Invisalign is way more esthetic. No metal brackets and wires.
You can remove your aligners anytime. If you have important meetings or pictures etc.
You can eat whatever you want, just brush and put the aligners back on after meals.
